I spend most of my time working with photographers but now and then I take an assignment or make pictures on my own to keep my eye fresh, push my own seeing and in turn figure out new ways to engage photographers with whom I work. It's a wonderful viscous circle.

While it's not the Rolling Stone, getting my picture on the cover of Mix is a real treat. So was making the pictures of a dinner party at a wine storage business here in Portland, as much for the opportunity to meet some nice folks and eat some great food as for the photography. But then, that's the beauty of all photography, it takes you places you wouldn't otherwise go.
